After check-in, enjoy an introductory tour of South Tarawa. Visit the local market, admire the turquoise lagoon, and experience the relaxed pace of island life. After breakfast, embark on a full-day guided tour of South Tarawa. Visit important World War II battle sites, memorials, and coastal defenses from the historic Battle of Tarawa. Continue to a traditional I-Kiribati village where you’ll learn about local customs, canoe building, weaving, and everyday island life. In the afternoon, relax on one of Tarawa’s beautiful beaches or enjoy an optional swim in the warm waters of the lagoon before returning to your hotel. Meals: Breakfast
