Kauai: Waimea Canyon Adventure

You will be picked up at 9.30 pm by the guide. Embark on the called “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific” by Mark Twain, this fascinating Waimea Canyon tour in Kauai offers spectacular views that rival it’s mainland cousin yet with an island personality all its own. The first stop will be made during the excursion to see the Spouting Horn. The Poipu surf channels into a natural lava tube and releases a huge spout of water during large swells. Listen for the hiss and roar; local legend tells of a great lizard that long ago got stuck in the tube.
The actual canyon is bursting with ever-changing color, yellow ginger, and eucalyptus trees. Kauai’s own mokihana berries grow up to 3,500-foot elevation.
