The Barbados Tourism Encyclopedia describes Harrisons Cave as one of the Seven Wonders of Barbados. At the cave, you will board electrically operated trams that will take you through the extensive system of caverns, while experienced guides will give you historical information. The Barbados Harrison’s cave is truly a phenomenon of nature. There are excellent galleries of stalactites hanging from the cave’s roof and stalagmites reaching up from the ground, with emerald pools and pillars that have joined over thousands of years. From there, you will journey to the magnificent Hunte’sHunte’s Botanical Gardens. You will meander along the pathways and find many surprises amongst the lush tropical plants. The rare exotic foliage grows densely in this landscaped gully, and hidden amongst them are antiques and other beautiful decorative pieces.
