Dominican Republic Expedition 3 Days

Begin your day exploring the historic Zona colonial, a UNESCO world heritage site that is home to many of the city’s important landmarks and museums. Visit the Alcazar de Colon’, the cathedral of santa Maria Le Menor’, and the museums of the royal houses. Stop for lunch in one of the local restaurants, then head to the Malecon for a stroll along the oceanfront or take a taxi to the nearby national botanical garden surrounded by tropical lush plants for an afternoon relax.

Today you will head to the popular resort town on the eastern coast of the island. Spend the morning hours relaxing by the beach, swimming in the ocean or engage in some water sports like paddle boarding or kayaking. You will spend your lunch here and after your lunch, jump into the catamaran cruise to Saona Island, a beautiful secluded island off the coast of Punta Cana. Enjoy swimming in the clear turquoise waters and relax by the beach sipping cocktail before returning to the main island in time for dinner.

Today you will head to Jarabacoa, a charming mountain town in the central region of the country. Hike in the nearby Cordilera central mountain range or try your hand at whitewater rafting on the Yaque del Norte River. Later proceed, to the local coffee farm to learn about the history and production of coffee or visit the salto de jimenoa waterfall for a refreshing dip in the cool waters
