Itinerary

Day 01Arrival

Upon arrival in Caracas, you will meet with our representative who will welcome you to Los Rogues. Drive you to your hotel for check in and rest. Overnight: Costa Real Suites

Day 2Canaima

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to catch your flight to Canaima. On Landing, meet with our guide, will drive you to Ucaima Camp, a small lodge located on the banks of the Carrao River, above Hacha falls with views of three tepuis and Auyantepui in the distance.  Transfer to the lodge involves a jeep and a dugout canoe.

After you check in at Ucaima lodge, have some tie to relax before going for a half day excursions to Yuri falls.  Take a 20-minute drive across the savanna to Puerto Verde where you will board a motorized dugout canoe and head down the Carrao River. Arriving to Puerto Yuri, take a15 minute walk through the jungle leads to the falls and beaches of Yuri. Enjoy swimming and the exploring in the cool charm waters of the area.

There will be optional activities at additional services. They include

Full day excursions to Angel falls (Applicable only on rainy season, June-November)

Angel falls over flight. The flight is a 45-minute flight over the Angel falls and the Devil’s canyon.

Half-day trip to Mayupa and Sapo falls

Day trip to Kavak.

 

Day 3Angels Fall

After breakfast board a motorized dugout canoe (Curiara) and set off up the Carrao River which is lined by luxuriant vegetation. After your tour around to Mayupa rapids, proceed up the river stopping to view the beautiful scenery of the ‘lost world’. The journey continues to Mayupa rapids, Pozo de la felicidad and Orchid Island.  On arrival at Orchid Island, be served with breakfast before continuing upriver up to Churun River leaving behind Carrao River. About an hour reach Ratoncito Island where you will observe Angel falls. Take a guided hike that leads you to El Mirador, a lookout point offering view and photographic opportunities (Weather permitting) to capture the massive rocky face of Auyan-tepui and Salto Angel in the warm morning sun. Overnight will be at the rustic shelter close to Ratoncito Island.

Day 4Angel Falls- Canaima

 Full day adventure to enjoy the falls before returning down river to Ucaima camp in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 5Canaima- Merida

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport for a flight to Merida via Puerto Ordaz and Caracas. You will be met at the Airport by our guide; if time permits you will have a short city tour to Plaza Bolivar and the historic cathedral. Later take a Andes scenic adventure. The Andean region is a picturesque land of fertile soil, rich in traditional culture. This exciting adventure lets you truly experience the tranquility and beauty of this wonderful area.

At the end of your trekking, you will mix with the

Locals and barter for handicrafts in provincial markets. Overnight and dinner at Belensate Hotel.

Day 6Andes

After breakfast drive to Jaji, a reconstructed colonial village. Then to Hacienda El Carmen, a 150- year old coffee plantation, here you will learn about the history and processing of coffee. Proceed to Lagunillas villages where you will witness a mysterious salt lagoon, massive eroded canyons and sugar plantations. In the afternoon, you will hike through the Los Conejos tropical cloud forest part of the Sierra Culata National Park. Overnight and dinner at Belensate Hotel.

Day 7Andes

Start the day with a hour ride on the world’s longest and highest aerial cable car. The cable car sweeps across the valley, planted with sugarcane and coffee and soon you are rising above the steeped forest hills and cascading rivers. From the summit, you will see a wonderful panorama of snowcapped mountains, glaciers and lakes full of Andean trout. Here you will have a light trekking. In the afternoon, visit Merida’s principal market, if you have enough cash with you shop for some hammocks and tropical fruits. Overnight and dinner at Los Frailes, a monastery lodge in the 18th century which still maintains its colonial architecture and décor.

Day 8Andes

After breakfast explore the small Andean villages and the high mountains plateaus or Paramos. Discover the town of Mucuchies which was founded in 1596 by the Spanish on the site of the pre-hispanic chama indian tribe. Then to Laguna Mucubaji, one of the largest 200 glaciers lakes in the state of Merida, here you will have an opportunity to trek or horseback ride to Laguna Negra observing the incredible variety of mountain flowers with a possibility to seeing on of the world’s high altitude hummingbird, the bearded helmetcrest. You will have more to learn and see on the diversified flora of the Andean vegetation. Travel along the Eagle Pass, the highest paved road in Venezuela at 4.047 meters and a biological research station to see the Andean condor, one of the world’s largest birds with a wingspan of more than 3 meters. Return to Medina for overnight at the Belensate Hotel.

Day 09 & 10 &11Los Roques Archipelago

After breakfast you will be transferred to the Airport to catch your flight to Los Roques. On arrival you will be driven to your hotel Posada Albacora where you will spend the rest of the nights enjoying what the hotel offers. Starting from Scuba diving that will give you an opportunity to see marine life such as stingrays, grouper, angelfish, barracuda, moray eels, and coral, among others, snorkeling in an underwater and or swimming.

Day 12Departure

After your stay in hotel Posada Albacora, you will be transferred to the airstrip for your flight to Caracas. End of our services!
