Itinerary

6-6.5 hoursDark View Waterfalls

Snorkel a coral reef off the black sand beach at Mount Wynne as a prelude to swimming in the refreshing pools below the Dark View Waterfalls. A sleek catamaran will bring you to the reef, which is just offshore and teeming with marine life. You will likely see a parade of colorful creatures because the reefs off St. Vincent are home to more than 400 species of fish. Loggerhead, green and leather-back sea turtles also inhabit these waters. The double waterfalls are just as magnificent as they tumble off a high cliff in the heart of a dense rain-forest. You will behold the thundering cascades from below and be free to swim in the crystal-clear natural pools at the base of the waterfalls. A bountiful lunch of Caribbean favorites follows at a beachfront restaurant, after which you will visit Wallilabou Bay. Parts of the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean” were shot there because the setting is so spectacular.
