Enjoy spectacular vistas of Tortola and the surrounding islands from vantage points that are not easily accessed by conventional vehicles. Depart the cruise ship pier as the Land Rover convoy quickly passes through Road Town before following a trail up to the ridge road. Be taken on a fun ride, revealing the natural beauty of the island and the unspoiled scenery, flora, and fauna. Stop on the way for photo opportunities and to stretch your legs. Enjoy a one-hour stop at one of the local beaches where you will receive a complimentary drink and have the opportunity to cool off with a refreshing swim in the ocean or just relax on the white sand before continuing back to the ship. Today you will be picked up at the hotel lobby at 8 am. Begin with a 40-minute cruise across the Sir Francis Drake Channel; to Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda. is the third largest and second most populated of the British Virgin Islands. On this excursion, you will: Board open-air safari busses for a short 5-minute ride to the famous baths. Swim or bask in the sun amid mammoth boulders in this unique atmosphere of palms, sand, and sea caves. Take a stroll through the intricate network of trails discovering hidden caves and sea pools. Enjoy a complimentary beverage before boarding the boat back to Road Town. NB: The landscape is rough and uneven leading to the baths and you will be walking a medium distance. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for a moderate walk of 350 yards down the trail from the top of the parking lot to the beach. Swimming at the Baths is from the beach over sand and rocks and around the large boulders – be wary of sudden sea swells as sea conditions can change on short notice and caution should always be exercised when in the water. Travelers should be energetic and not physically challenged, don’t forget your swimwear, towel, and sunscreen. The bathrooms at Baths beach are not usable sometimes due to a lack of power. Board a spacious sailing catamaran for an enjoyable cruise across the Sir Francis Drake Channel to Norman Island, the inspiration to Robert Lewis Stevenson based his book Treasure Island. Be entertained by your friendly and professional crew as you glide without the noise of engines across the water. Your snorkel sites will be a reef off Norman Island with beautiful coral formations and abundant marine life and The Caves at Treasure Point. Amidst the myriad of brightly colored fish, see if you can find the pirate treasure, rumored to have been hidden, although not all were rediscovered. Move next to the Pirates Bight for time on the beach at this recently renovated restaurant with signature cocktails to buy and a gift shop. To round out this sail escape, you will enjoy once again the restorative power of the wind on your return sail to Road Town. Escape to the famous island of Jost Van Dyke, named after a famous pirate and now a haven for visitors who enjoy the white sand beaches, warm waters, and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoy a scenic 30-minute ride on an open-sided, twin-engine motorboat from the pier, between the islands, to White Bay. Upon arrival, transfer onto a small landing craft and, as the early pirates did, walk down a gangplank onto the white sand beach. Beach chairs and breathtaking settings await you on the beautiful beach lined with small shops and refreshment venues. Swim, relax, take a stroll along the sands. You will have the entire day yourselves to do whatever you call fun and legal. In your own time, you will enjoy a spa treatment till late 2 pm. At 2 pm, you will meet the guide, shoot for the markets malls to shop or just window shop, it’s still allowed. Later you’ll be dropped at the hotel for dinner. Later in the evening, you will meet the guide at 9 pm for a night out with the group. Hit the club (s) that’s poping during that time. The crazy night partying will be till midnight. Later get dropped at the hotel
